We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a JJ’s Yard Hand / Depot Labourer, you will perform general yard maintenance and cleanliness and carry out non-technical maintenance in our Dandenong depot.
We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
You will enjoy family friendly hours – no more long haul, DIDO or FIFO, as well as great pay rates - particularly for those interested in overtime or additional work on weekends! Early starts (6am), full-time, permanent role.
DUTIES:
- Proactive cleaning & maintenance of site buildings, wash bays and gardens/grounds
- Washing, repairing and assembly of waste bins
- General housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Maintaining routine work records and inventories
- Various manual handling tasks
- Maintaining routine work records and inventories
- Carrying out non-technical maintenance tasks internally and externally as required
- Forklift operation
ABOUT YOU:
- Current Forklift Licence required
- Show interest and enthusiasm in a long-term career at JJ’s
- Ability to demonstrate self-management and good communication skills
- General mechanical and repair skills
- Knowledge of OH&S hazards and safety precautions
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Current HR licence required (preferred, not essential)
- Be reliable; we are an essential service industry
- Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
- Able to provide your last 5 years’ traffic history at interview stage
- Well-developed people and relationship skills
