Current Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Land Access Advisor to join our energetic and diverse Brisbane team.
You will report directly to Land Delivery Manager and will be responsible for the preparation and negotiation of a broad range of agreements to facilitate Land Access for Senex's Surat team.
As the Land Access Advisor, you will play an important role in the delivery of Land Access in accordance with relevant legislative requirements and business drivers to support the Queensland Surat operations. You will be working across the broader team to ensure best for business outcomes as well as identifying risks and opportunities for consideration by the business.
We are looking for a motivated individual with experience in securing Land Access agreements within a dynamic and fast-paced construction and operational environment.
This role may require field-based travel from time to time.
Key accountabilities will include:
  • Preparation and negotiation of agreements to facilitate Land Access for capital project requirements,
  • Administering statutory Land Access processes under the Petroleum Legislation;
  • Ensure Land Access agreements meet the necessary business needs and comply with internal governance requirements, organisational guidelines and relevant legislative requirements in cooperation with stakeholders;
  • Maintain current knowledge on legislative and policy changes which impact Land Access requirements;
  • Assist in developing solution focused strategies for successful negotiation of agreements;
  • Monitor, report on and escalate at-risk Land Access matters;
  • Engage with external parties including landholders and their representatives;
  • Maintain contract compliance, including input to databases to ensure appropriate contract management;
  • Assist in implementing processes and quality controls which align with project delivery;
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Minimum five years' relevant experience in facilitating Land Access arrangements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably in law;
  • Proven negotiation skills, conflict management and project management;
  • An ability to engage with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Proactive, results driven professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and across teams;
  • Ability to multi-task and handle pressure while working to tight timeframes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Land Access arrangements and requirements within the CSG industry; and
  • Knowledge of rural industries and/or practices
