The Role
We are seeking a Senior Landscape Estimator to join our team.
Experience in construction or landscaping estimation is essential. This position will suit a detail and process orientated person. With no project the same, this role will keep you interested and motivated.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation of detailed tenders for landscape works that:
- are compliant with the Request for Tender and any subsequent Addenda
- provide appropriate supporting documentation to clearly establish the quoted scope of works
- provide a reverse brief where tender documentation is deficient
- identify and address discrepancies in design documentation
- identify value management opportunities in order to meet client budget/quality expectations - Prepare detailed request for quote packages for suppliers and subcontractors
- Complete detailed presentation and review of all tenders with Leadership Team prior to submission
- Completing independent site visits to gain and document accurate notes on the project scope and pricing requirements
- Identify key risks and opportunities during the tendering phase
- Complete detailed handover of all elements of the project estimate to the Project Team upon project award
- Maintain schedule of current and forecasted tenders to allow strategic review of targeted turnover
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following
- Construction industry experience
- Strong estimating background in medium and large-scale projects
- Excellent time management skills and able to work within and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
- Strong written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Ability to review and analyse Requests for Tender and associated drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for projects
- Ability to complete take-offs of construction documentation with measuring software – PlanSwift or equivalent
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
