Landscape Inspector

How you’ll make a difference

You will be part of a team that has a focus on the Landscape Improvement program.  With the City seeing an increase in the number of projects, this new position is crucial to ensure that our project delivery service is met. 

General Duties of the role

  • Conducting practical completion and hold point inspections with contractors.
  • Inspecting sites for project specification compliance.
  • Ensuring plant stock & turf quality control.
  • Auditing contractor activities during establishment periods – watering, weed control, mowing, fertilising, staking, pruning, pest & disease, mulch and replanting failed plants.
  • Conducting inspection with internal stakeholders for contributed landscape assets.
  • Auditing developer activities during maintenance periods – watering, weed control, mowing, fertilising, staking, pruning, pest & disease, mulch, replanting failed plants, etc.

What you bring to the role

  • Certificate III in Horticulture/Arboriculture
  • C Class Driver’s Licence.
  • General Construction Induction White Card.
  • The ability to apply attention to detail.
  • Experience working with contractors.
