What do you need?
- Hold the qualification as an IN-L (Inspector Limited) with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA)
- The proficient knowledge of The Building Act 1993, The Building Regulations 2018, Building Code of Australia (NCC) – VOLUME 2 and associated Australian Standards for Domestic and Commercial construction, namely the Residential Slabs and Footing Code and the Timber Framing Code for Domestic.
- Strong leader with relevant operational experience and a can do attitude
- Well-developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage work demands within time frames, both individually and within a team to achieve quality client customer service.
- To provide a high quality, responsive, prompt customer services and effective Building Surveying Service including Mandatory Inspections, responding to customer needs, that is consistent with the proper administration of all statutory requirements in accordance with the Building Act and Building Regulations.
- Attend Inspection Meetings.
- Daily tasks to include
- Conduct Mandatory Building Inspections as required by the company within the designated time frame.
- Proactively manage and co-ordinate the inspection runs to meet client obligations and the effective communication of results.
- Upload inspection results immediately upon the completion of the mandatory inspection using online building permits unless consultation with a Director or Senior Member of staff.
- The accurate Interpretation of architectural plans, structural drawings and geotechnical reports for Mandatory Inspections
- Promote the organisation to the construction community
- Conduct training sessions with Staff or Clients, on occasions when required.
- Attendance of Staff Meetings when required by the Directors.
Salary of $120,000-$130,000 + Super + Car + Phone + Tablet.
