Job description

UrbanVirons Group (Urbans) is a South Australian owned and operated company providing a range of Arboricultural, Civil, Environmental, Horticultural, Landscape Construction, Sports Turf & Open Spaces and Weed & Pest Management services to State & Local Government, High Profile Grounds & Facilities, Residential Housing and Commercial Clients.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Project Manager professional to join our tight-knit team, to assist the Landscape & Civil Construction divisions as we continue to grow in these areas. 

The Role

This role is integral part of the organisation, reporting to the Landscape Construction and Civil Manager and will work closely with the tendering team, site supervisors and operations coordinator. 

Key responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to; 

  • Oversee multiple projects ensuring all works are delivered on time and of the highest standard
  • Coordinate and monitor all facets of the project (staff, sub-contractors, materials, resources) 
  • Must have good understanding of contracts, sub-contractor and supplier agreements
  • Ability to understand, manage and deliver projects within construction budgets
  • Continual project status communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and promote the company’s safety, quality and environmental culture 
  • Contribute to continual learning and development of the team by providing coaching and mentorship
  • Assist in tender reviews, reports and budgets for senior management and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • A professional qualification in Project Management, Building or Construction or a trade qualification with extensive knowledge, skills, and project experience
  • Proven experience with successful delivery of civil and/or landscape construction projects 
  • Sound professional knowledge and experience to identify and resolve issues 
  • Experience with estimating to assist with variations
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, including multitasking against competing priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Strong numeric, technical, and analytical skills
