AddressJob Overview:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire services. This position plays a crucial role in the overall operations of the housekeeping department and ensures that the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
• Laundry Processing:
o Sort linens and treat stains.
o Load dirty laundry into washers and add specified cleaning agents.
o Transfer washed linens into dryers and ensure proper drying.
o Fold and store clean linens properly.
o Operate and monitor washing machines and dryers, ensuring they are used correctly and maintained.
• Inventory Management:
o Keep accurate records of linens washed and dried.
o Monitor linen supplies and report inventory levels to the supervisor.
o Assist in the regular inventory checks of linen closets.
• Quality Control:
o Inspect linens for cleanliness and condition.
o Ensure that damaged or stained items are properly recorded and discarded if necessary.
o Maintain the highest standards of laundry cleanliness and presentation.
• Safety and Compliance:
o Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling laundry.
o Adhere to the BCG's policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
o Ensure the laundry area is kept clean and organised at all times.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional demeanour.
