A criminal barrister located in Brisbane is looking for a competent Law Clerk/Personal Assistant for a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the potential for up to full-time hours.
We are looking for someone to commence in approximately May 2024.
The ideal candidate will be studying a law degree with a view to ultimately practicing in criminal law. The role involves significant flexibility, particularly around study requirements and the successful candidate will require a driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle.
This role involves:
- Court attendances in high-level criminal law proceedings.
- Preparation for trials and sentences.
- Administrative work.
- Assisting in client conferences.
- Personal assistant duties.
- Diary management.
The role will primarily involve accompanying the barrister to and from court proceedings and in all aspects of preparation and conferencing. This is a hands-on role involving significant exposure to court proceedings.
