With the business focused on building a 'best in class' data driven operation a brand-new position has been created for a Lead Bi Developer to join the team.
As an Lead BI Developer the responsibilities of this role will involve but not be limited to:
- Engagement with BI Developers and various other business stakeholders across to map data driven project requirements, understand strategic initiatives around business insights, identifying all key data assets to be leveraged, key KPIs to be measured, and insights to be gleaned.
- Utilise the GCP platform.
- Looker Studio OR Microstrategy for visualisation
- Design, develop and optimise back end SQL data platforms for ongoing business insight related projects; SQL data mart creation, automation of SQL data feeds, SQL code optimisation, streamlining of SQL processes, etc.
- Support analytical initiatives around customer engagement, customer experience, category planning, supply chain optimisation, micro/macro store planning, special analysis, product performance and ranging, etc.
- Data Modelling with Star and Snowflake Schema's.
- Experience engaging with technical and business stakeholders to understand strategic challenges and proactively recommend intelligent insights driven solutions to solve the unanswered questions.
- Experience with GCP is a must.
- Strong technical proficiency writing complex SQL queries to manage, manipulate and automate complex data feeds to be leveraged for analytics based products.
- Dashboarding expertise on Looker Studio or MicroStrategy.
- Any experience working in a retail driven analytics environment delivering projects around customer engagement, customer experience, category planning, supply chain optimisation, micro/macro store planning, special analysis, product performance and ranging will prove highly advantageous.
