Overview

Are you ready to shape the visual landscape of our next gaming adventure? As the Lead Concept Artist, you'll be at the helm of our artistic vision, guiding a team of talented artists to create immersive worlds that captivate players worldwide. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge games and make your mark in the gaming industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of Concept Artists, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship to foster their growth.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Creative, Art Director, and other team members to establish the visual style and tone for each project.
  • Create high-quality concept art, including characters, environments, and key visual elements, to bring our game worlds to life.
  • Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback, ensuring alignment with gameplay mechanics and technical constraints.
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to translate concept art into game assets while maintaining visual fidelity.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously elevate the quality and innovation of our games.

What you bring to the role

  • Proven experience as a Concept Artist in the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing exceptional artistic skills and creative vision.
  • Previous leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve their full potential.
  • Proficiency in digital art tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of game development processes, including art pipelines and technical constraints.
  • Passion for gaming and a deep appreciation for storytelling and world-building.

Bonus Points

  • Background in traditional arts, including painting, illustration, or design.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and experience with outsourcing.
  • Experience working on AAA titles or high-profile game projects.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering techniques.
  • Proficiency in game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
