About the role
Are you an experienced Lead Content Designer that has a passion to drive strategic development of digital presence to improve the experience of Victorians interacting with the government then this is the role for you! The role will support the department's team to build a strong online presence that helps to align community engagement, education, legislation, and policing to support a cyber resilient culture for Victoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering cyber awareness and education content on the department’s website. Your knowledge, passion and highly-developed content design skills, together with your experience using content management systems, will be essential.
Duties
- Provides project leadership and expert advice as a critical developer of digital communication channel projects and activities.
- Leads and develops best practice digital communication, publishing and analytics through content audits, user testing and quality assurance.
- Ensures digital content aligns with the departments single digital presence requirements using templates, information architecture processes, style guides, training and other support tools.
- Establishes, builds and maintains effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and strategic partners, while providing expert digital advice and developing, delivering, monitoring and improving digital communication and customer experience.
- Monitors performance against objectives and ensures good risk and governance approaches for all online digital and customer channels while applying a customer-centric approach.
Desirable:
  • Cyber knowledge: Understanding of the current cybercrime environment and government cyber priorities.
  • Web content creation: Understanding of best practice digital content writing and web content publishing standards, with an ability to translate technical information into plain language for external audiences.
To be successful in this role you must hold:
  • Public sector experience is preferred.
  • A tertiary qualification in fields related to digital marketing or communications, website design and development
