Exciting opportunity to join a prominent SA Business as a Lead Data and Reporting Analyst. As a Senior team member, you'll take ownership of the successful delivery of reporting and data analysis activities, ensuring the accuracy of reporting outputs, and providing leadership and coaching to other members of the team. Your role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders, understanding performance drivers, and leveraging technology to provide seamless access to critical data through BI Reporting.
The newly created role of a Lead Data and Reporting Analyst will be an integral part of our Technology team and across the business. Reporting to the Head of Product for the following key accountabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning the end-to-end delivery against the reporting and data analysis needs of the business.
- Providing leadership, coaching, oversight, and task management for activities and projects relating to reporting and data analysis.
- Working with stakeholders in the business to understand the key metrics they use to define success within their teams, and identifying gaps in reporting used in determining this information.
- Developing reporting that supports these teams in identifying trends and internal/external influences that affect the teams over time and contribute to achieving performance goals.
- Developing modelling in spreadsheets that allows for teams to understand any impacts of decisions they make in adjusting their inputs, operational processes, or team structure.
- Assisting stakeholders in sourcing data for use in their own analysis.
- Using technologies such as Salesforce reporting and Power BI to extract and interrogate data.
- Working with software developers to evolve and otherwise improve the quality of source data in away that better meets reporting needs.
About You
- At least 5 year’s experience in role relating to data or business analysis
- Experience engaging with customers or external business stakeholders.
- A high level of experience using spreadsheets to manipulate and visualise data.
- Experience using BI reporting tools such as Power BI or Looker Studio is highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of data structures and relational models.
- A strong ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with team members and business stakeholders.
- A strong, demonstrated ability to use technological tooling to extract, analyse, and present data.
