Job Description:
As a Front of House / Lead Deckhand, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional customer experiences aboard our vessels. This multifaceted position combines Front of House responsibilities with deckhand duties, offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to be part of a great team.
Responsibilities:
Front of House Activities:
- Prepare the vessel for cruising, including cleaning and table setting
- Greet customers warmly and direct them to their tables
- Serve meals and beverages, ensuring impeccable presentation and service
- Clear tables efficiently to maintain a pleasant dining environment
- Complete end-of-cruise tasks such as cleaning and waste removal
- Assist the Master in casting off and tying up processes at the slipway and jetty
- Direct and supervise junior deckhands to ensure timely task completion
- Participate in emergency drills and adhere to emergency procedures (comprehensive training provided)
- Aid in vessel maintenance under the guidance of the Master.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Friendly demeanor with a passion for customer service.
- The right to work in Australia.
- Valid Driver’s License and access to own vehicle (limited public transport availability).
Desirable:
- Previous experience in customer service roles
- Residency in the local area
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- First Aid Certificate.
