Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in managing a team of developers while providing expert technical advice and architectural guidance. You will be responsible for spearheading the development of cutting-edge web and API solutions, contributing to the design and implementation of complex projects, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead cross-disciplinary teams to successfully deliver applications or enhancements to our core products.
- Lead the development and implementation of new components and features using JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as ReactJS, Redux, GraphQL, TypeScript, and ExpressJS/NodeJS.
- Design and implement APIs to facilitate seamless communication between frontend and backend systems.
- Provide technical expertise and support to various parts of the business, including debugging, troubleshooting technical issues, and resolving identified bugs.
- Participate in code reviews and peer programming sessions to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Enhance and maintain our CI/CD pipelines, utilizing tools such as Azure DevOps, to streamline the software delivery process.
- Stay abreast of the latest frontend technologies and industry trends, and incorporate them into our development process.
- Champion secure development practices and methodologies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our applications.
- Contribute to the improvement of our testing framework, with a focus on tools such as Cypress, to ensure robust test coverage.
- Actively participate in Agile development processes, co-managing sprint processes and ceremonies to drive project success.
- Engage in technical councils or similar forums to contribute to the evolution of our web and platform frameworks and architecture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in leading developers and projects and managing engineers.
- 7+ years of experience in web and API development, with a strong focus on JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries, including ReactJS, Redux, and NodeJS/ExpressJS.
- Proficiency in writing automated tests for both frontend and backend systems, using frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, or Supertest.
- Demonstrated experience in solution design, architecture, scoping, and project planning for complex projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket) and proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of SPA architecture, build systems, cross-browser compatibility, and HTML5/CSS layout, with UI/UX knowledge and wireframing skills.
- Prior experience in leading project teams, mentoring developers, and working in fast-paced Agile environments.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Azure Cloud Platform and healthcare data is preferred but not essential.
- Proficiency in database design, particularly RDBMS, and experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision, delivering high-quality work in a timely manner.
