Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team.
About the role
- Working across the full lifecycle of projects from scoping studies through to execution of EPC and EPCM
- Ability to deliver mechanical technical solutions in accordance with project scope, time-frames and best practice standards
- Prepare technical reports related to the design
- Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
- Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion in to the project specific execution plan
- Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies
- Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary
- Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
- Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Extensive experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants
- Proven success in an EPCM environment
- Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills
- Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
- Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation
- Prior experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous
- Experience of leading the mechanical discipline on a project.
