Come and Join our cohesive and supportive team dedicated to improving the Oral Health of public-school students. We're seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist, Dental Therapist or Dentist to join our dynamic team of Lead Regional OHTs and DAs, contributing significantly to the success of Smile Squad, our free school dental program.
Reporting directly to the Directors of Agency Relationships, you'll play a pivotal role in leading and mentoring Smile Squad OHTs in the Melbourne Metropolitan region, alongside supervising Bachelor of Health Students during their placements.
We're seeking an OHT or Dentist with several years of experience, excited about shaping the skills of the next generation of OHTs. Whether you're currently in a private or public setting, looking for a fresh challenge, or contemplating a transition to part-time work, this opportunity is tailored for you. Some duties to expect:
- Collaborate with Dental Agencies in your region to enhance the efficiency of their Oral Health Therapist teams
- Mentor and provide support to existing OHTs and OHT students as they deliver dental care to school students
- Identify and address knowledge gaps within the OHT workforce through targeted professional development initiatives
- Travel to various agencies during work hours, utilising the Smile Squad vehicle for transportation
- Maintain up-to-date clinical skills by occasionally participating in chairside duties

A bit about you:
- AHPRA Registered Oral Health Therapist/ Dental Therapist / Dentist
- Victorian driver’s license and Working With Children Check
- Clinically competent in evidence-based practice, specifically with kids
- Experience in teaching, student supervision and mentoring – highly regarded
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
