About the Role

Based at our Perth office, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Planner / Functional Lead to drive the planning and scheduling activities for our projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in project planning and scheduling within the onshore gas and energy engineering and construction industry, coupled with exceptional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities.

• Lead the development and maintenance of an effective planning department and project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives, milestones, and deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements and develop comprehensive work breakdown structures and project plans.
• Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential schedule delays and conflicts.
• Monitor project progress against established schedules, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other functional teams to ensure timely availability of resources and materials to support project schedules.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the planning and scheduling function.

Essential Qualities and Background

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within the engineering and construction industry, with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead cross functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. 
• Proven experience in supply chain management within the oil and gas engineering and construction industry, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and logistics operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Availability to travel interstate and to sites when needed .

Enscope works in all States of Australia so candidates must be willing to travel to our construction sites and client offices, both in Western Australia and interstate to represent the Company on occasion.
