Job Description
The role is a mix of hands-on and strategy and not heavily focused on the design side, but acts more as a program architect, bringing together architects across different domains and acting as the custodian of the program architecture and playing a key strategic role as a conduit between Architecture and the Programme Manager. It will work closely with Enterprise Architects, Heads of Department and C-Suite.
This includes:
- Upholding the architectural governance principles and good implementation design for architectural deliverables
- Enhancing the Enterprise Architecture repository through the capture and documentation of technology standards, reference architectures and design patterns
- Guiding on the effective use of technologies to achieve business outcomes in alignment with the Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture and design principles
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand business goals and support delivery outcomes
- Contributing to the effective management of risks and issues associated with technology design and development
**You must have full working rights and willing to commute to the office each week, this is not a remote role and does not offer sponsorship**
The successful candidate will have significant experience in Architecture and working on large-scale transformations and technically challenging projects. Retail, Supply Chain & Logistics or Transport knowledge/background is not essential but beneficial.
Technical
- Significant experience in the design and implementation of enterprise solutions in a large scale and diverse environment with a focus on stakeholder groups, including the end users;
- Significant experience in systems and applications architecture design and implementation as part of an end-to-end solution
- Proven solution design experience across the Enterprise Technology domain;
- TOGAF certified or experience with Architecture frameworks
- Clear and sound judgement will flow from a focus on providing pragmatic solutions using data to support decision-making;
- A high level of interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on negotiation, communication (with business sponsors, technical staff and end-users) and effective delivery methods including an ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven capability in effective communication, building business insights, a highly analytical and organised approach, and the ability to execute on work effectively and independently
- Must have a keen sense of initiative by being a self-starter, with a proactive approach to tasks and collaborations
