Lead Test Software Engineer (Cypress/Typescript)

Join a dynamic team dedicated to redefining the insurance industry.Position Overview: As the Lead Software Engineer in Test, you will enhance the quality of our client's platform by identifying improvement areas, expanding test coverage, and ensuring an excellent user experience for customers, partners, and colleagues. You will collaborate with Product, Development, and Infrastructure teams to standardize testing methods and maintain high-quality standards throughout the product development cycle.Thi role will suit someone who is looking to move their career towards leadership.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain API and UI automation frameworks.
• Create and execute automated tests in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and manage the test automation repository.
• Design, modify, and update automated test scripts independently.
• Conduct both manual and automated testing for production readiness.
• Analyze business requirements to enhance overall testing coverage.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure user stories are tested and ready for release.
• Report defects and resolve issues with developers before each release.
• Design and document test plans, test cases, and maintain test assets.
• Identify and implement QA process improvements.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in end-to-end Automation Testing with Cypress is Essential
• Advanced scripting skills in TypeScript is Essintial
• Experience with API Automation Testing (Postman, Karate, Rest Assured, TestNG).
• Experience with source code management tools (GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Proven experience in manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with TDD and Shift-Left methodologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
• Experience in data-intensive applications testing and SQL.
• Familiarity with JSON and XML formats.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and drive BDD practices.
