Form of workLaunceston Vet Clinic is a well-established Community Veterinary Hospital located in the heart of the city centre in Launceston, Tasmania. We are looking for an enthusiastic veterinarian to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat, empathetic personality to provide both our patients and clients with an exceptional level of care in a friendly, fun-loving, experienced, and supportive environment.
Total clinical freedom with autonomy is encouraged. Our caseload consists of primarily small animal, pocket pets, birds, and occasional urban fringe farms or exotic animals from local wildlife parks.
We have recently relocated to a fantastic purpose-built facility consisting of three consult rooms, two dedicated operating theatres, separate dentistry suite, Imaging with Digital xray, ultrasound, and dental radiography. Our vets are spoilt with highly experienced and compassionate veterinary nursing staff. Our hospital is exceptionally well equipped with an x-ray machine, dental x-ray machine, ultrasound, electrocautery, orthopaedic equipment, in-house blood machine and in-house microscope.
Our clinic is open six days a week, 8 am to 7 pm on weekdays, and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. We offer our clients an on-call service for emergency cases, for which applicants would need to participate and would be well compensated. We share our on-call cover with another local clinic, which means our clinicians enjoy being on-call Mondays, Tuesday, and Wednesdays, with the other clinic covering the rest of the week and weekends.
