Role Summary:
Our client is looking for a Lead Web Developer who will report to the Senior Manager Application Development within the Technology Services group. The role involves leading, planning, and executing the development and support activities for the web applications suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of high-quality web software solutions, from requirements to deployment, aligning with business strategy.
- Develop, build, test, version, document, and deploy software releases through various internal development and test environments into the live environment with minimal disruption.
- Ensure technical solutions are properly architected and specified, driving optimal user experiences and user-centered designs.
- Utilize predictive and agile methodologies to drive improvement and maximize team productivity.
- Identify and evaluate technical risks, providing expertise for quick decision-making on complex and sensitive issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong web application development skills with experience in back-end/full-stack development (React.JS, Typescript, Python/Django, Jest/Cypress, Docker or similar).
- Proficient in reviewing pull requests and a strong understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills with the ability to design systems and architecture to solve complex business problems.
- Experience leading teams with diverse responsibilities and skill levels, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Strong understanding of application security and risk mitigation in a complex and changing environment.
