Gleeson College is a Catholic coeducational, secondary college in the Northeast of Adelaide with an enrolment of approximately 920 students. Our school motto ‘With one heart’ says it all. Due to growing enrolments and a strategic restructure, Gleeson College is excited to invite applications from suitably qualified professionals for a permanent Teacher and new Position of Responsibility (POR 3 – Leader ofMiddle Years Teaching and Learning), commencing in January 2025. This position will support the College Leadership team and Leading Learning Team in driving Middle YearsTeaching and Learning, and pedagogy, into the future

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: 

  • Their ability to support the College’s vision and direction for Teaching and Learning (with appropriate consideration of authoritative frameworks such as ACARA, SACE and CESA frameworks)
  • Their ability to Coach Middle Years teachers and support Leaders of Learning in the understanding and implementation of Middle Years pedagogies and Learning structures e.g., Learning Teams.
  • Evidence of effective leadership, teamwork and collaboration.
  • Their ability to support the Catholic ethos of Gleeson College.
  • Their commitment to supporting and representing the ethos of our Catholic College as outlined in the Gleeson 10 and the Gleeson Staff 5.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families, external providers, colleagues and the wider community.

Additional Information

The POR component is for a fixed term of four years and is offered in accordance with the SA Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020 (as amended or updated).

  • Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate
  • HLTAID012 Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting certificate
  • Clearance to work in Catholic Education and Current DCSI/Working with Children Check/Catholic Police Check
  • A completed CESA Employment Declaration Form (available from the vacancies section of the Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) website)
