The Opportunity
Principal activities undertaken include supporting a small team ensuring deadlines are met, assisting with technical queries, conducting prestart meetings with the crew, promoting safety standards whilst supporting safety KPI’s.
You will play a crucial part within our team supporting our haulage operations by maintaining our impressive fleet of Road Trains, primarily Kenworth T909, C509 and C510, equipped with 18-speeds and quad or triple configuration side tippers with the latest technology and specifications.
This is a permanent full-time position based on a 2/1 roster with rotating day and night shifts, offering Fly In, Fly Out from Perth, WA.
What is required?
- Australian or New Zealand recognised trade qualification
- Experience leading and/or mentoring a small team within a similar environment
- A strong commitment to safety and quality of work
- Demonstrated diagnostic, fault finding, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
- The ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Unlimited Australian Work Rights
- Applicants with experience maintaining Kenworth heavy haulage fleet with Cummins engines and hydraulic tipping trailers will be held in high regard!
About the Yilgarn Hub
The Yilgarn Hub is located within the Goldfields region of Western Australia. It includes four of Mineral Resources’ iron ore sites, Koolyanobbing, Windarling, Parker Range and Carina.
Product from the hub ships to the Port of Esperance and the Kwinana Bulk Terminal, South of Perth.
Approximately 1,100 people are employed at the mine sites and a further 250 workers across rail and port operations.
