AddressGenesis Mining Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Leading Hand HD Fitter to lead a team to maintain our brand-new fleet safely, efficiently, and to ensure maximum output. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working alongside likeminded professionals in a growing team and company, someone who is keen to get involved with a project start-up and share their knowledge.
This role is offered on 15 days on, 13 days off Fly In Fly Out roster from Perth to Leonora. Town based established accommodation camp in Leonora with great camp facilities including, gym and pool as well as town facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate work and supervise the day to day activity of a small team of HD fitters, auto electricians, servicepersons and apprentice
- Ensure that works being performed are done in a safe manner and in line with WHS legislation and company OH&S standards
- Ensure that machines operating within the project are maintained to company standards and as per OEM specifications
- Report to the Maintenance Supervisor on day-to-day activities, breakdowns and labour requirements
- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture within the team
- HD Fitter duties including maintenance of Komatsu Rigid Dump trucks, Hitachi Excavators and Caterpillar Ancillary Equipment
- Workshop and pit duties as required
About you
The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria;
- Driver’s license (HR License)
- Trade Qualified in Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand
- Previous experience in mining either in field services or mobile equipment maintenance
- Proven track record of safe operating practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
