This opportunity

As a Capability Consultant, you will be a key driver in supporting the end-to-end capability needs of our employees, primarily focussed on our Enterprise and Corporate teams. You will help our teams and business achieve performance and Development goals by supporting the development of employees through effective consultation, needs analysis, initiative and solution design, facilitation, coaching, continual evaluation, and enhancement of solutions to equip employees with the knowledge, skills, and tools to deliver business goals and exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with your client group to anticipate and proactively support their needs.

This role is highly consultative, with key engagement points being Capability Business Partners, key business leaders within your client group, Go to Market and Change teams as well as the broader people experience team.

Responsibilities

Consulting

  • Engage and communicate constructively with the business.
  • Build strong and transparent relationships with key stakeholders to enable consultation on all capability initiatives.
  • Identify, raise and seek solutions to any potential roadblocks.
  • Seek to understand capability needs and advise on best approach to achieve results.

Design & Deliver

  • Development of capability programs and resources, in consultation with the Design and Delivery teams, to support business objectives at organisational, business unit, team and individual level.
  • Utilise adult Learning and TPG Telecom instructional design principles to develop solutions.
  • Deliver intentional and impactful capability programs. Facilitate with passion!
  • Conduct training needs analysis identifying skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
  • Design and deliver across multiple mediums.
  • Measure the return on investment of our key initiatives and conduct external benchmarking to build best practice into our programs.
  • Leverage technology to create engaging learning experiences.

Teamwork

  • Work collaboratively and effectively across sites and locations in conjunction with your client group’s requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the Capability team to share information, resources and best practice.
  • Be a team player within the PE team and provide support to other members of the team as required. This may include supporting capability initiatives across the group.
  • Manage own workload and assist other team members with theirs when required.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the team’s results.
  • Provide and receive constructive, open and honest feedback to team members to support an environment of continual development.

Knowledge and experience

  • Facilitation experience.
  • Instructional design experience.
  • Tertiary education in Training, assessment, design or human resources is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working in an Enterprise sales function is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Internal candidates with experience within our Enterprise, Government and Wholesale function, managing teams or delivering change initiatives are also welcome to apply without the above experience provided the below are met.
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and highly service orientated.
