ABOUT PEER
PEER is a non-profit industry-based organisation, a Group
Training Organisation (GTO) and an award winning Registered
Training Organisation (RTO), delivering nationally accredited
training packages to meet South Australia's skill development
needs.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Learning Experience Officer is responsible for providing
support to apprentices during their studies at PEER, this includes
monitoring and tracking the progress of apprentices, delivering
motivational and study skills training and providing individual or
group advice and guidance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with our learners, with assistance from the Learning
Experience Coordinator and Training team, to support the
implementation of learning goals and learning plans
Facilitate training workshops for groups of learners on
learning related subjects
Implement support according to our learners Individual Learning
Plans
Work with PEER internal staff to provide support to our
learners
Provide advice and guidance to our learners to help develop
their academic/study skills
Build relationships with learners to improve completion
goals
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential
Demonstrated experience of working in learning support within
an education setting
Current Working with Children Check and a clear National Police
Check
A team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work
effectively under minimal supervision
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to adapt to change
Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
A strong commitment to safe work practices
Desirable
Exposure to a Vocational Education and Training (VET) or other
learning environment
Experience in online learning management systems (LMS)
Certificate IV TAE or willingness to obtain
Experience in online / blended or flexible learning models
Ability to use different computer applications and
packages
