Lecturing staff employed in 2024 are eligible to receive a Temporary Regional Incentive of $15,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at NRTAFE, with the remainder paid on the anniversary of start date. Staff must remain employed in the location for 12 months to be eligible to receive the second payment.

About the role 
This position will be delivering full qualifications in Carpentry, Construction Pathways and Industrial Skills at Certificate I, II and III level and a range of short courses in relevant areas including construction induction training and basic demolition. Travel within the region is a requirement of this position.

To be successful, you will have the following…

  • Significant relevant industry / vocational or lecturing experience (minimum of 5 years)
  • Relevant vocational qualifications and/or competencies at least to the level to be delivered and assessed including:
    • Carpentry & Joinery trade certificate such as CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent
  • Well-developed communication and organisational skills, including the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of information technology with the ability to communicate and facilitate learning in a digital environment. 

It is preferred that applicants already possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or can demonstrate willingness or progression towards achieving it.
