The Role
Continuing, Full Time
Level B - $107,098 to $126,971 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
Bathurst or Wagga Wagga or by negotiation
Actively contribute to teaching, and curriculum development in the School of Information and Communication Studies. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and progress an active research profile aligned to the strategic direction of the School. They may apply for a formal workload allocation of up to 30% to support their doctoral studies, if they do not possess a doctorate and intend to pursue one.
The successful candidate would normally be required to work at the Charles Sturt campus at Bathurst or Wagga Wagga, although in some instances a flexible working arrangement, where the candidate is based off campus in another location in Australia, may be negotiable.
To be successful you will have:
A Master’s qualification or higher appropriate to the relevant discipline
A record of professional activity relevant to the discipline and active involvement in the Teacher Librarianship profession
Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality student centred learning and teaching
Broader experience to teach in various areas of Teacher Librarianship

The School of Information and Communication Studies has 45 years of experience in library and information studies education, and with our equally well-established communication courses supported by our on-campus advertising agency, we provide a solid learning foundation for our students, as well as engage in cutting-edge, industry-oriented scholarship and research.
Library and Information Science (LIS) research in the School was rated ‘above world standard’ in the most recent national assessment exercise (Excellence in Research for Australia) conducted by the Australian Research Council. Strong industry links and affiliations ensure ongoing relevance in course design, impactful research, state of the art facilities, national and international recognition of staff and students and high rates of graduate employment outcomes.
