About the role
We have an opportunity for a Lecturer to work closely with the Head of Discipline and academic team to contribute to teaching, learning, subject coordination and development of course content in orthoptics.
In this role you will engage in quality research, leading to high impact publications. You will actively participate in HDR supervision, and develop links with industry.
About You
As a Lecturer, you will have proven tertiary teaching experience, curriculum development and delivery through a range of contemporary teaching methods and technologies. You will also have knowledge in topics directly relevant to Orthoptics.
To be successful you will also have:
- A PhD in Orthoptics
- Experience as an orthoptic clinician or research in eye related area
- Record of independent contribution to high impact scholarship in an area of orthoptics.
- Registration with the Australian Orthoptic Board
- Solid record of empirical research, disseminate findings by publication or presentation.
Remuneration/Salary
Base Salary Range: $117,420 to $138,973 pa (Level B)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
The position is part-time (0.5 FTE) and will be made on a 2.5 year fixed-term basis.
