Teaching Focused Academic Level B/C salary - $110,500 to $153,889 pa
Plus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leave

Contribute to the Nursing programs at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Nursing, you will work with a team of academics to contribute to research and teaching activities within the Faculty of Health in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, this will include providing support and guidance for junior staff members, and engagement in the administration of the Bachelor of Nursing and postgraduate nursing or health related programs at CDU. You will contribute to the professional preparation of nursing students through the development and delivery of relevant units, courses and programs of study, including those intended for off campus and flexible delivery modalities.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Postgraduate qualifications at master’s level in Nursing and/or health related field.
  • Eligibility to register with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with evidence of current practice and leadership.
  • The capacity to develop, apply and monitor best practice and innovative strategies with respect to teaching and learning. Experience in curriculum development, preparation, and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and graduate entry education programs to students from relevant health disciplines.
  • Capacity to innovate in curriculum and course design in partnership with health service providers and to develop and implement business cases aligned with College and University objectives and aspirations.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with people from various educational, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with policy, management and clinical leaders from health services.
  • The ability to work both autonomously or in a team environment, and proven abilities to manage and motivate teams and students as required.
  • Ability to supervise postgraduate students at a HDR level.
  • Demonstrated capacity to recognise and implement the University’s policies on antidiscrimination, equal employment opportunities and OH&S.

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Teaching Focused Academic Level B/C. The base salary will be in the range of $110,500 to $153,889 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $129,285 to $180,050 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
