Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Robotics to join School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics, Faculty of Engineering, Academic Division.
This position will grow QUT’s strength in Electrical Engineering and Robotics research, education, and industry and external engagement. We are seeking an academic with a strong background in Robotics and a passion for research in robotic manipulation, robot learning and control, including grasping and physical interaction with the environment using stationary and mobile manipulator robots.

What you need to succeed
- Completion of a doctoral qualification in Robotics, Machine Learning, or closely related fields
- Demonstrated leadership ability (teaching, research and/or engagement) in engineering field.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a research program that supports and complements existing research strengths in Robotics.
- Demonstrated good track record of high quality peer-reviewed journal and equivalent conference publications in the area of robotics or machine learning.
- Synergy with the School’s and Faculty’s existing research areas.
- Capacity to coordinate and teach a range of relevant Electrical and Electronics engineering units, with the ability to implement innovative teaching practices including blended learning and authentic asessment.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate research students and higher degree research (HDR) students;
- Proven ability to contribute to a high performance and collaborative culture.
