We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual with experience in reviewing and drafting legal documents. The right candidate may be offered a permanent position if they are able to demonstrate they have the dedication and aptitude to join our growing team.
The Position
We are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Law Graduate with at least 1 year of relevant experience. You will be responsible for assisting in the drafting of legal documents, including contracts, deeds and policies, with guidance and mentorship from our experienced and friendly team of solicitors. This is a unique opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of different legal practice areas and to develop essential legal skills.
To be successful in the role, you must have great attention to detail and a passion for learning. You must be able to take initiative, have excellent time management skills, and feel comfortable asking for help in our collaborative team environment.
The Role
- Legal research;
- Reviewing and assisting in the drafting of contracts, deeds and a wide range of other legal documents;
- Drafting letters, submissions, wills and Court documents; and
- Working closely with our experienced team of solicitors.
The Candidate
- Australian Law degree;
- At least 1 year of relevant experience;
- Exceptional legal research skills and the ability to interpret, analyse and communicate legal material;
- Sound technical skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues as well as individually;
- Good work ethic with a pro-active and can-do attitude;
- Strong attention to detail;
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with strong problem-solving skills;
- Display good organisation and time management skills;
- Experience in legal drafting; and
- Desire to expand and develop your knowledge in various fields of law.
