What's the role?We're looking for an
Assistant Editor to join delicious. and be part of something big as we continue to grow, expand and innovate. Based in our Surry Hills office, this role requires an organised team player who shows initiative, can juggle several tasks at once and can adapt easily to the distinct style of Australia's favourite premium food and lifestyle brand.
About the role:- Fixed-term opportunity: 06-month contract with the possibility to extend
Support the Editor-in-chief and Senior Sub-editor in the day-to-day running of the delicious. brand across print, digital, video, commercial, marketing and events, including support on tentpole initiativesAssist in content ideation, talent identification and outreach, liaising with book publishers for extracts and helping maintain budgets for content developmentEnsure accuracy of all content and maintain an efficient and deadline-driven production process, including preparing effective editorial calendarsAssist the Sub-editor writing and subbing both print and digital work and liaise with Digital, Food and Art teams to ensure output of highly accurate contentHelping to generate flatplans, as well as proofreading layouts and signing off for printHelp ensure all commercial deliverables are executedStrive to meet collective team KPIsWork closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather a broad understanding of key brand events and activations
Who are you?- Experience as an Assistant Editor or production assistant working to weekly, sometimes daily, deadlines
A proactive attitude and an ability to spin innovative ideas into great stories for the delicious. audienceExperience sub-editing/proofing.
