Job description

Woolich Racing is a world leader in Motorcycle software tuning technology. This full-time role works out of our research and development facility and HQ in Geebung on the Northside of Brisbane.

We are seeking a technically minded Support (Level 2) with experience in both IT and Electronics. A keen interest or knowledge of internal combustions engines and motorcycles is also highly valued. The individual requires the ability to seek solutions, a test-based thought process and attention to detail. We are a small but efficient team that requires some level of autonomy. On the job training will be provided, specific to our products and services. 

Some assistance in daily administrative duties will be required. While we are closed to the public, we have ongoing stock maintenance being the head office with multiple distributors of our products around the world.

IMPORTANT: This role will initially be normal business hours Monday to Friday however, after adequate on-the-job training, the role will transition to Tuesday to Saturday. This can be a physically active role - but not strenuous.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Written via Support Tickets, no phone support. Work with a small team of technicians on Support Tickets during Australian business hours (there are also support officers operating in the UK, EU and USA, collectively providing 24 hour Mon-Sat customer service support). 

Hardware:

  • Apply manufacturer firmware onto devices / test process
  • Design automotive harnesses
  • Manage testing of automotive harnesses after manufacture
  • Manage inventory of hardware

Warranty Repairs:

  • Using electrical testing devices including a multimeter and an oscilloscope to diagnose electrical issues.
  • Able to follow a step-based approach to testing procedures.
  • Testing warranty items returned by customers will also be a part of this role.

Additional Responsibilities based on experience:

Technical Writing

  • Manage existing Software Training Courses.
  • Develop further course work over time.

R&D Tracking:

  • Ongoing R&D reporting

Project Work:

  • There is scope within the role for project work suited to your specific skills and experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

-Electronics:

  • Wiring
  • Soldering
  • Microcontrollers

-Computers:

  • Troubleshooting USB and other common problems
    Microsoft Windows Support

-Automotive Electronics
-Automotive Electrical Wiring
-An interest in electronics e.g. Arduino, ARM Microcontrollers
-Understanding of electronic components and design beneficial
