This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to take on an essential role in the Biodiversity Services team. As the Library Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring and increasing access to the Library component of the State Botanical Collection by providing expert reference and information services to RBGV staff and external clients, conducting reader education programs, and promoting a better understanding of the role and value of the Collection. The incumbent will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of records in the Library catalogue and other lists, and act as a stakeholder liaison.
What You'll Bring
Success in this role will require a diploma of Librarian Information Services or equivalent, and eligibility for membership in ALIA. You will have a several years' experience operating within a specialised library, with demonstrated knowledge of standard library procedures, cataloguing and strong proficiency with computerised information systems. Your excellent interpersonal skills and service-driven approach ensure you can work with staff and visitors on a wide range of matters, consistently delivering excellent customer service.
