Your opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Library Aide to cover the absence of a staff member on leave from 8th July 2024 to 9th August 2024 inclusive. The successful candidate will support and assist their supervisor and teaching staff to deliver the Information and Library Services program. The Library Aide assists in the provision of a safe learning environment for students and works with students on a one to one basis, or in small groups and provides administration support; preparing and maintaining teaching, learning and recreational resources as required.
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience within a Library environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Library practices and procedures including daily operation of the Library, processing and maintaining the Library collection and borrowing records.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in administration tasks and assisting with Library displays and set up for activities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
- A high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with maintaining a Library Management System.
