Licensed Electricians

The opportunity

ADB Safegate Australia is looking for up to two experienced Electricians to join our team working airside at Perth International Airport. This unique opportunity will provide you with a new perspective and help you gain valuable skills in a niche area of the electrical and aviation industry. 

We would love to hear from you if you have airfield lighting experience, however this is not mandatory. For those who have not worked on an airfield before, our Team is ready to provide training on the specific project procedures and installation methods. 

This opportunity is not solely limited to Perth Airport. ADB Safegate Australia operates projects across Australia and New Zealand and applicants should consider the requirement for both short- and long-term travel in their future with us. Flights, accommodation, vehicles, and fuel are all provided, as well as a daily allowance if you are required to work on one of our many airfield sites across the ANZ region.

Your new role

• Daily paperwork
• Attend toolbox meetings
• Installation and termination of airfield lighting cables, mains, sub-circuits, final sub-circuits 
• Installation of airfield lighting equipment and infrastructure
• Investigation and fault finding of circuitry issues in a time-critical environment
• Working with civil crews and subcontractors
• Supervising or working with trade assistants and apprentices
• Read, understand, and modify airfield lighting drawings, mark-ups and circuitry diagrams

You will need

• Must be trade qualified (A-Grade Electrician or equivalent)
• Must hold a white card (OHS CARD)
• Airfield lighting experience preferred, but not mandatory
• Valid driver’s licence
• Other industry licenses, such as high-risk work or EWP are desirable, but not mandatory 
• A self-starter with a positive and proactive approach
• Great team player and ability to operate autonomously 
• Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work
• Healthy attitude and great work ethic
• Committed to meeting deadlines
• A willingness for out of hours work (weekends or night shift) as and when required
• A willingness for interstate travel as and when required
• Ability to obtain and maintain an aviation security identification card
