About the role

This role is permanent-full time based in Maddington Residential Age Care Home which delivers a dementia specific Therapy and Lifestyle program. This position coordinates the delivery of our lifestyle, therapy and spirituality program to meet residents social, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs. Working closely with our Occupational Therapists you’ll support the development of a social care plan with tailored activities which provides them with meaning and improves their wellbeing. This role also be responsible for coordinating staff and volunteers to support our residents programs.

About you

You’ll be empathetic, committed, and enthusiastic with a genuine passion to make a positive impact in residents’ life. With a background in pastoral care you’ll be looking to be part of MercyCare genuine and committed team. Your key experience will include:

Ability to communicate and build relationships with residents, families, and staff
Supervisor or leadership experience
Knowledge and understanding of current Age Care Quality Standards
Relevant Certificate or Diploma (formal Pastoral Studies preferred)
Experience in Age Care Services (preferred)
Demonstrated understanding of safety policies and procedures
National Police Clearance (obtained within last six months)
Flu and Covid vaccinations (preferred)
