The Opportunity:
As a Lifting Equipment Inspector at Nobles, you'll dive into a diverse array of tasks within our operations. From assessing lifting gear and cranes for maintenance to installing and maintaining critical service components like ropes and sheaves, you'll be at the heart of our operational excellence. Your responsibilities will also encompass designing, manufacturing, and maintaining specialized lifting and measuring devices, alongside conducting certified inspections and height safety assessments. This is an entry level position that would suit someone with a mechanical background looking to kickstart their career in the Lifting industry.
Tasks and responsibilities may include:
- Assessing lifting gear and cranes for repair and maintenance.
- Installation and maintenance of ropes, sheaves, and rope attachments.
- Designing, manufacturing, and maintaining bespoke lifting and measuring devices.
- Conducting certified and height safety inspections, including harnesses and lanyards.
- Testing, tagging, and repairing lifting gear.
- Proof loading testing and reporting.
- DNV sling testing, tagging, and repair.
- Previous experience in mechanical fitting or engineering roles will be highly advantageous.
- Natural mechanical aptitude.
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) and working at heights tickets (can be provided).
