Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnostic abilities and attention to detail. As a mechanic at Performance 4x4, you will play a crucial role in assisting us to continue to deliver the high standards of service and workmanship we are known for.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in diesel vehicles
- Fitment of performance parts to diesel vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to identify underlying problems and develop effective repair solutions.
- Use specialised tools and equipment to perform repairs and adjustments according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Mechanic, with a minimum of 3 years working on diesel engines.
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve problems.
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions controls.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
