Light Vehicle Mechanic

Borg is currently seeking for a Vehicle Mechanic to service our site in Mount Gambier, NSW. Our fleet consists of cars, Scissor lifts, Sweepers, Forklifts, Golf Buggies and which we service on-site and in our in-house workshop. This role is being offered on a full time permanent basis. 

To be successful in the role, applicants will have:

• A highly motivated self starter with good organisational skills and a willingness to learn and work under pressure
• Strong mechanical aptitude is essential 
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Must be physically fit
• Drivers licence 
• Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Mechanic

The Scope of work we are exposed to:

• Basic and major servicing
• Preventative maintenance
• Accident damage and repairs
• Forklift service and repairs
• Scissor lift and Boom lift service and repairs
• Welding, machining and fabrication
• Auto electrical and Air conditioning
• Hydrostatic drives, Hydraulic circuits and components

Some of the brands of machinery we work on:

• Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Hino Trucks
• Komatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, Volvo, CAT, Terex and Bobcat
• Vawdrey, Barker and Freighter trailers
• Tigercat, Peterson, Timberpro, Catterpillar,
• Genie and JLG scissor lifts and boom lifts
• Club car, Izusu D-Max
• Hammel, Komtech and Peterson Grinders

In this role you will be responsible for:

• All servicing and repairs to the company's fleet, including plant, trucks, cars
• Carrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional manner
• Occasional attendance at side-of-road breakdown jobs requiring repair/service
