Light Vehicle Mechanic

On behalf of our client, Car Giant WA, we are advertising. Car Giant WA are looking for Light Vehicle Mechanics to join their team based in Jandakot a on a full-time basis.
The Light Vehicle Mechanic maintains, tests and repairs petrol/diesel engines and the mechanical parts of lightweight motor vehicles like transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes.
Tasks for the position:
•Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
•Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and check vehicle parts
•Repair as well as replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed
•Conduct scheduled maintenance services, like oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with emission standards
•Reassemble engines and parts after repairs
•Test and adjust mechanical parts after being repaired to ensure performance standards are met
•Diagnose and test parts using computers
Qualifications and Experience:
•Cert III or relevant Trade qualification – (essential)
•Minimum 3 years previous experience as a Mechanic
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Time management skills
•Current Driver’s Licence
Salary $70,000pa
