Key Responsibilities: Actively drive a safety 1st culture by ensuring all COR (Mass, Dimension & Fatigue) requirements are complied with.all incidents, hazards & defects are reported immediately.all corrective actions are acted upon in a timely manner. Ensuring delivery on our service commitment are met for delivery on time and pick up on time.
Lead driver and vehicle planning to improve efficiency. Coordinate and manage sub-contractor’s requirements and engagement. Manage costs and budgets to improve business performance.
Be pivotal in customer relationship management ensuring customer are kept informed of any service issues Be action orientated to drive resultsEnsure all OHS legislative requirements are adhered to Develop your team with the purpose of improving performanceEnsure your team uses our GPS and transport management system correctly The ideal candidate? The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to respond in a fast-paced environment with a positive can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
This is an exciting role where the successful applicant will have an opportunity to further their career in a leading WA provider of temperature-controlled transport & logistics and will require: Minimum 3 year’s demonstrated supervisory or management experience in a similar role within transport. Demonstrated understanding of the legislation and laws relating to the operation of heavy vehicles, transportation, fatigue management and vehicle weight restrictions . Good analytical, reporting, planning skills for efficient route and load planning with high attention to detail and cost management.
Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and deal with multiple activities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Understanding and application of OHS legislation and safety leadership.
Solid experience leading and engaging large teams. Be flexible with working hours.
