AddressSkilled Linemarking & traffic control is a locally owned and operated business based in Katherine. We service all regions and remote areas of the Northern Territory. We provide a high quality service of all aspects of line marking and traffic control.
Currently, we are looking for Linemarker who offers the following:
- Work under limited supervision and provides guidance to other team members when requried.
- Linemarking machine operation and removal/grinding of linemarking.
- Setting out of works and placement of preformed thermoplastics symbols and markings.
- Drive and/or operate one of the current Rural Linemarking Services fleet of line marking machines to an acceptable standard.
- Operate a light vehicle or rigid truck as part of a mobile traffic control configeration to provide protection for other team members on high peed, high traffic volume roads.
- Assist other team members in the maintenance, set-up, pack-up and decanting for the
- linemarking machine and follow company HSEQ procedures.
- Assist the Work Supervisor and Team Leader in the application of all quality and safety and environmental processess to ensure the relevant Roads and Maritime Services polices are met.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Other Duties such as:
- Control road users to avoid conflict with plant, workers, traffic, and pedestrians.
- Enabling works at the site to be conducted safely by minimizing the risk associated with traffic movement.
- Ensure plant/equipment is used only for its intende/manufactured use.
- Ensure the appropriate licenses have been obtained before operating plant/equipment e.g. forklift, truck and some more regarding traffic management.
- Might have to ensure duties of traffic controller.
The successful candidate must:
- Possession of Contruction Industry Certification (White Card) and Traffic Conrolers Tickets (Blue and Yelloe Tickets).
- Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Ability to work in close proximity to traffic.
- Ability to effectively communicate with members of the public, external providers, and staff at al llevels in both oral and written form.
- Ability and willingness to undertake labouring tasks.
- Ability and willingness to acquire certification for other relevant machinery as required.
- It is a prerequisite that applicants possess a current motor vehcile driver licence.
The successsful applicant may be required to work outside normal working hours or to travel on occasion.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo relevant security and criminal records check prior to appointment.
