What are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced cattle handler to join our team at our meat production facility in Batchelor NT.
Role requirements
- Actively participate in the delivery of Kill agendas
- Working with livestock in yards, pens and paddocks to a standard which meets or exceeds company standards of animal welfare
- Actively participating in safety programs including but not limited to inductions, toolbox meetings, training and system development
- Undertaking regular inspections of cattle yards and pens
- Undertake general cleaning and maintenance duties such as ensuring animals have drinking water, feed and clean and safe living conditions
About you
Ideal applicant will possess the following
- Basic level of computer literacy using Microsoft office suite and relevant documentation systems
- Animal welfare and cattle handling knowledge
- Ability to work over a rotating roster (including being present for after hours cattle deliveries and weekends when required)
