Job description

Your Employer
Supplying the international market since 1933, our client is an Australian-owned agribusiness specialising in the supply of high-quality, responsibly raised beef products. With 3 strategically located processing facilities across Victoria and Tasmania, they continue to demonstrate their commitment to animal welfare and the support of local farmers.

Boasting a dynamic culture built on collaboration, support, and teamwork, they are now supplying 10 premium brands including grass-fed, barley-finished, and wagyu beef products. Located at their state-of-the-art meat processing plant in Tongala, Victoria, an experienced Load Out Manager is required to join their team.

The Role
Ensuring all outward goods are stored, packed, labelled, and dispatched in an accurate and efficient manner, the Load Out Manager is responsible for upholding the high standard of quality and compliancy our client is known for.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will effectively manage a team of 30 employees across two shifts. In addition to managing the site’s Load Out activities, this role will liaise closely with external contractors, ensuring plant and equipment are maintained, and loading schedules are met.
With a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliancy, key responsibilities will consist of, but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring all orders are packed, labelled, and documented in accordance with legislation, and goods are stored to meet food and hygiene standards.
  • Coordinating and scheduling logistics in line with daily production requirements and transport availability.
  • Providing hands-on support, identifying areas of improvement and providing the necessary training and guidance required.
  • Adhering to National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and safety obligations under chain of responsibility framework.
  • Completing stocktake activities, ensuring accurate rotation and movement of older product.
For a detailed list of responsibilities, a position description can be provided upon request.
About You
The successful applicant will have proven leadership experience in a meat or fresh produce export environment, whilst providing hands-on guidance and mentorship. This role will ideally suit someone with exceptional attention to detail, and current knowledge of associated laws and regulations.

Whilst a background in meat processing is desirable, those with relevant experience from other fresh produce industries are still urged to apply.

To be considered for the role, you must be able to address the following criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Management experience leading a shift work distribution team
  • Refrigeration control and food hygiene expertise
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to inspire a supportive team culture

Other desirable credentials include:
  • Cert IV in Meat Processing
  • Forklift Licence
  • Heavy Rigid Truck Licence
The Benefits
In addition to joining a successful Australian-owned agribusiness, you will have the opportunity to take part in the ongoing development and growth of the site’s operations. Other benefits you will receive include:
  • Industry-leading salary package on offer
  • Relocation assistance for non-local applicants
  • Access to staff purchasing of premium meat products.
  • Salary-sacrificing options for vehicles
  • Access to Employee Assistance Program
  • Income protection insurance and flexible leave options
