About the role
We are currently experiencing growth at Aurizon Bulk East and are looking for a qualified Electrical or Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Stuart (Townsville) maintenance depot.
Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike.
- Perform complex trouble shooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
- Form part of a team that has an excellent track record and timely performance.
- Supervise, mentor and assist in the development of apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.
- Utilise and input accurate data into the Maintenance Management System.
- Assist with the implementation and development of quality improvements to deliver quality customer service.
About you
- Diesel Fitter/Fitter Mechanic or Electrical Trade background
- QLD Electrical licence or formal equivalent.
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Candidates from heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
- High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock.
- Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
- Sound computer literacy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
