Overview:
Charterhouse Medical are looking for a Locum Specialist General Practitioner for the following opportunity:
Pay Rate: $1,800 per day
Date Range: 6 November to 17 November 2023 – 2 week locum
Shift Times: Day Shifts Mon - Fri 8am to 5pm. Hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. On call - a Nurse on call responds to any call outs and contacts the doctor if advised by the RMP on call from Darwin.
Travel/Accommodation: Travel provided and accommodation provided.
Location:
GP based in the community of Milikapiti (Tiwi Islands) in the Arafura Sea approximately 70km northeast of Darwin. Also known as Snake Bay. Accessible via daily Air & Ferry Service from Darwin. Milikapiti lies on the traditional county of the Tiwi people, on Melville Island.
Melville and Bathurst Islands are collectively known as the Tiwi Islands, the home of the Tiwi people. The Tiwi People have occupied the islands since at least the last ice age when the islands were separated from the mainland approximately 11,000 years ago. After years of isolation the Tiwi have a unique language and culture, including dance, song, and art.
Selection Criteria:
- To be considered for this position, applicant must have Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
