Key responsibilities of the position include:
- Delivering client-centred, evidenced based rehabilitation assessment and intervention
- Working within an allied health led, multi-disciplinary team to support clients to address their rehabilitation goals including active participation in multi-disciplinary case conferences
- Leading the delivery of group-based pain rehabilitation programs
- Actively participating in service development and planning
- Undertaking staff and student teaching and supervision as required
Qualifications / Certificates
- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy
- Registration/ accreditation with AHPRA
Specialist Expertise
- Demonstrated minimum of two years of clinical experience in delivering Occupational Therapy to clients
- Proven ability to competently work within a multidisciplinary team, providing timely person centred care and independently manage a productive case load
- Evidence of ongoing professional development through completion of relevant post graduate study, and/or recent and ongoing development courses, conferences or workshops
- Previous experience with supervision of students and/or junior staff as an Occupational Therapist, with demonstrable skills in providing quality mentorship.
Personal Qualities, Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrated highly effective communication skills and strong interpersonal skills in client care and staff relationships.
- Demonstrated solution-focussed approach to caseload management, ability to work flexibility & independently to manage a productive caseload.
