Experienced Podiatrist required for this locum role with regional health service, located an hour from Adelaide. You’ll join a large allied health team. Full time hours, Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week. There are 8 Podiatrists on the team, including Clinical Leads.
The caseload is varied Rural Generalist role covering:
- Acute and Community – helping patients in regional acute hospitals and outpatient clinics by providing assessment, advice, intervention and education for complex acute and chronic lower limb pathologies.
- Rehabilitation and Aged Care – supporting clients in residential care facilities, outpatient clinics by providing assessment, advice, intervention and education.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – supporting children, families, and adult clients by providing assessment, therapy, education and advice relating to lower limb presentations.
- Wound care acute and outpatients. All patients high risk and have active ulceration. Outreach may be required with max travel distance of 60 minutes. Will be required to complete vascular assessments, wound care including debridement, offloading, escalating to metropolitan and acute services. Outreach involvement. Department currently participating in research.
- You will be working in the local community.
ASAP start for 3-6 months.
Accommodation assistance is available and locum rates up to $65 per hour + super (depending on experience). I’ve placed many locums with this service over the years and the feedback is positive. The team are young and inclusive.
